Why we're building this
We built AI agents before. We're building the substrate now.
We built AI agents at our previous companies before we started this one. Not just one — many. Marketing agents. GTM agents. Engineering agents. Some for customers, some for our own teams; different domains, different problems, different rules.
Every time we started, the interesting part was tiny — the playbooks capturing what the team actually did. The rest was the same substrate we'd built before: LLM plumbing, tool integrations, audit trail, credential handling. The connective tissue every AI agent needs. After the third or fourth rebuild, the pattern was clear.
So we're building Gauss as the substrate. Anyone can shape it into the agent they need — no ML team, no prompt engineer, no six-tool integration project that outlasts the problem it was meant to solve.
We're building it around one belief: AI is best when it hands humans back the decision. Leave the reads, the triage, the digests, the checks to the agent. Keep the judgement calls for yourself — and make them faster and better because everything under them is already sorted.

Meet the team where they are
Slack in, Slack out. No new app, no learning curve. If a feature can't be reached from an @-mention, it doesn't ship.
You shape it
Playbooks, workspace instructions, custom integrations. The same codebase becomes a CS agent for CS teams and a DevOps agent for DevOps teams — depending on what you put in it.
Enhance humans, don't replace them
Leave the tedious work — the reads, the triage, the digests, the checks — to the agent. Keep the judgement calls for yourself, and make them faster because everything underneath is already sorted.
